The intent of our Open House is to give people who have never been to church a chance to taste and see our hospitality, and hear the big reason why we go to church. We also hope that all parishioners who are unfamiliar with what goes on at St. John's will take this chance to find out more about various small group Bible studies, care programs, and areas that need on-going volunteers.
We ask that you pray with us for God to be pleased to bring those whom He foreknew to not only attend the Open House, but to engage with us and get hooked on the Samuel sermon series :-). Pray that God will open their eyes to notice our communications, and cause them to make their first big decision to come and attend the Open House!
The Open House promotions activities includes household delivered direct mail, transit shelter ads and Canada station ads, a special website called big-decisions.org, large open house signs, open house invitation cards, and a ministry booket.
And if you've seen our ads in transit stops and Canada Line stations, take a picture with your iPhone and post them on the St. John's facebook page with your answer to the question. Let's see who comes up with the best answers! See you at the Open House.
