Exodus for everyone
Dr. Bruce Waltke
A day with Dr. Bruce Waltke. This introductory talk makes Exodus more accessible and easier to understand. As Waltke explains the themes in Exodus, and make the the first few chapters come to life, you will want to continue discovering the book of Exodus.

The Servant King: reading Mark today
Dr. Paul Barnett
The Reading the Bible Today series of non-technical commentaries is devoted to presenting careful scholarship in a way that everyone can understand and enjoy. Mark tells the story of Jesus simply, but with great emotional power. Dr. Paul Barnett's explanation of this Gospel will help readers understand the world of Jesus more clearly and respond to His claims on their lives with greater energy.
The Shepherd King: Reading John Today
Dr. Paul Barnett
John's Gospel gives more details about people, times and places than the other three Gospels combined. His purpose was to assure readers that he was an eye-witness and that they could have confidence that Jesus was the Christ. Like the writer of the Gospel, Paul Barnett invites us to read the story sensitively and prayerfully to hear the voice of God speaking through the text. With John he urges readers to see that Jesus is the Messiah and follow him.
Living Hope: reading 1 Peter today
Packer Dr. Paul Barnett
The letter of 1 Peter is a broad-brush sketch of the Christian life from beginning to end. Peter begins by assuring his listeners of their beginnings (as re-born ones) and concludes by appealing to them to "stand firm" (because the end is near). Between their beginning and the end, he appeals to them to behave in a Christ-like way and not to fear their enemies. This is indeed a beautifully written and spiritually powerful letter that will bring great rewards to those who study it carefully.
