Luke for everyone
What's coming up for children and families at St. John's
For the month of September children in kindergarten upwards are looking at some of the big promises God made in the days of the Old Testament, as outlined below. In October we will join the rest of the church in exploring what Luke has to say in his gospel and the children will discover for themselves that these big promises are fulfilled utterly and completely in Jesus. We need look no further for the one who can save us!
Resources for teaching children
Our ten week Bible Overview for children will be available for purchase from this site in the fall. The program is suitable for children in kindergarten up to grade 6. Think of this teaching unit as a helicopter ride, as opposed to a more usual road-trip through a book of the Bible, on which we make ten “touch-downs” at pivotal points of the scriptures. Children and teachers will come away from this trip with a knowledge of the big story of salvation running through the scriptures from the books of Genesis to Revelation.
