St John's Shaughnessy Anglican Church, Vancouver is a community of Christians dedicated to the exposition and teaching of the Word of God, to the spreading of the good news of the Gospel at home and abroad, and to the application of God's purpose in our own lives and families.

Summer Sundays for children and families
During the months of July and August, we have our Summer Sundays. Families come to the 10 o’clock morning service.
July
On Sundays in July, children aged four years and older come to the coffee lounge for singing, a story and prayers, followed by summer games on the lawn. Our stories this year are being told from the book of 1 Samuel, from when God’s people demanded a king so they could be like all the other nations.
August
In August, we change to a different format. Families stay together for the 10:00 am service which will be following a theme of running the race into which Christ has called us. We will be encouraging one another to persevere in the race 'till the end. Each Sunday morning we’ll look at another way the Lord gives us to help keep our eyes on the finish, such as meeting with the body of Christ, feeding on His words, praying, inviting others to join in the race, and giving from all that the Lord has given us.
September
Regular Sunday School begins on Sunday September 7th during both the 9:00 am and 11:00 am services, with classes for grade 6 meeting only during the 11:00 am service.
