Bishop Paul Barnett preaches in Vancouver

Bishop Paul Barnett – author, preacher and teacher – preaches in Vancouver this summer!

Bishop Paul Barnett: well loved, well known, and highly regarded preacher and teacher. Bishop Paul Barnett is coming to teach a course at Regent College in early July and will be preaching at St. John’s for 3 weeks. Don't miss out... see you at St. John's on Sunday morning at 10:00 am.

Bishop Barnett is also giving a talk at the Men's Breakfast on Saturday, Jul 4. This is a rare opportunity for the men of our congregation to hear Bishop Paul and to interact with him. Bishop Barnett’s topic will be, “Why I am still a Christian”. The cost to attend will be about $15/person. We need to know how many men plan to attend so that we can give the caterers accurate figures. Please phone the church reception desk (ext. 0) to confirm your intention to come.

About Bishop Paul Barnett: Paul Barnett was the Anglican Bishop of North Sydney from 1990 to 2001. He holds an MA Hons (Sydney), ThL from Australian College of Theology, a BD Hons, and a PhD (London) on the interaction between the New Testament and Jewish history of the first century. Bishop Paul Barnett is now a teaching fellow at Regent College, Vancouver, and is a respected classicist and historian.
