Who we are:

St John's Vancouver Anglican Church, Vancouver is a community of Christians dedicated to the exposition and teaching of the Word of God, to the spreading of the good news of the Gospel at home and abroad, and to the application of God's purpose in our own lives and families.

Music is a vital ingredient in our worship. There are many options for involvement in this ministry, both for those that sing and play an instrument.

Children's Choir
Children's Choir, which is for children aged 7 and older who are independent readers, rehearses Monday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 pm. Read more

Sunday evening service music
At the evening service, the evening music leader leads a music team consisting of instrumentalists and vocalists who rehearse before the service. The evening service choir rehearses the third and fourth Sundays of each month from 5 to 6 pm and sings the last Sunday of the month during communion.

Sunday morning choirs
There are two Sunday morning worship choirs. Under the direction of our Music Director, Dr. Terry Fullerton, the 9:00 am choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and the 11:00 am choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings. Rehearsals start promptly at 7:30 pm and end at 9:30 pm.

Choir members are expected to commit to singing an entire season and be present at all rehearsals. Besides singing during the 9:00 am and 11:00 am morning services, the two choir join together to present special music worship events such as Sunday morning Bach – a Cantata sung in context during the morning services; and carol services. If you are a Christian, have a gift in singing, and would like to commit to serving Christ regularly with one of the morning choirs, we invite you to contact Terry Fullerton to arrange a meeting and/or an audition.
