Who we are:

St John's Shaughnessy Anglican Church, Vancouver is a community of Christians dedicated to the exposition and teaching of the Word of God, to the spreading of the good news of the Gospel at home and abroad, and to the application of God's purpose in our own lives and families.

Music is a vital ingredient in our worship. There are many options for involvement in this ministry, both for those that sing and play an instrument.

Children's Choir
Children's Choir, which is for children aged 7 and older who are independent readers, rehearses Monday afternoons from 4:30-5:30 pm. Read more

Sunday evening service music
At the evening service, Amber Salladin leads a music team consisting of instrumentalists and vocalists who rehearse before the service. As well, Amber directs the evening service choir, which rehearses the third and fourth Sundays of each month from 5 to 6 pm and sings the last Sunday of the month during communion. Contact Amber Salladin.

Sunday morning choirs
There are two Sunday morning worship choirs. Under the direction of our Music Director, Dr. Terry Fullerton, the choirs rehearse on Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30 pm in the church. Besides singing during the 9 am and 11 am morning services, the two choir join together to present special music worship events such as Sunday morning Bach – a Cantata sung in context during the morning services; and carol services. If you are a Christian, have a gift in singing, and would like to commit to serving Christ regularly with one of the morning choirs, we invite you to contact Terry Fullerton. Currently, we need more tenors!
