Who we are:

St John's Shaughnessy Anglican Church, Vancouver is a community of Christians dedicated to the exposition and teaching of the Word of God, to the spreading of the good news of the Gospel at home and abroad, and to the application of God's purpose in our own lives and families.

Following Jesus is a lifestyle, not just a religion. And Jesus taught that it is a lifestyle lived in the company of friends. That is why the center of our community happens not so much at the Sunday service, but in the middle of the week in Home Groups.

Home Groups are a time for the evening service community to gather in smaller groups, in peoples’ homes to:

  • pray together
  • worship together
  • study the Bible together and
  • enjoy friendship with God and each other.

Most of our groups currently occur on Monday evenings, but we are looking to start groups on other nights of the week.

Ekklesia is a group intended particularly for people from 18-25 years old, and meets on Wednesday nights.
