This conference is not just for those involved in youth leadership, it will benefit any Christian young person by giving them the tools to understand the Bible for themselves. Over the course of four days, students learn how to engage with the Bible text, and how to teach it with confidence. Participants take home a greater thirst for God’s Word, and the knowledge of how to build disciples for Christ.
Steve Jeffrey
Director of Youthsurge Australia; a youth ministry organization that encourages and resources Bible focused, Christ centered youth ministry in the local church. “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he (Jesus) interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself” Luke 24:27
The ‘Scriptures’ Jesus was interpreting were the books of the Old Testament. We will look at the whole Bible with a special focus on the book of Isaiah. Isaiah is a book people often shy away from reading or preaching from because of its length. However, more than any other book, Isaiah focuses on the salvation that will come, the Messiah who will come. Isaiah presents our Savior to us in undeniable detail. It is important that we understand how God’s plan of salvation has been and is being worked out. Being taught together from the Old Testament we will gain further understanding of how this book fits into God’s master plan.
