Many Christians often don’t find prayer ‘easy’. We have a general sense that we should pray, and pray more. We are embarrassed, even ashamed of how we pray. The idea of praying aloud in a group fills us with all kinds of self-focused worries.
God loves every one of our prayers and every movement in our hearts to pray: he put the desire there in the first place. And we can help each other.
This year we are holding four quarterly prayer meetings. These gatherings are not for the well-trained expert at public prayer. Instead, we will try to learn to pray. Each night we will learn a simple, practical method of praying, then practice it together. We will meet at 7:00 pm on February 20 in the Church Fellowship Hall, and we hope that you will join us.
